The Neighbourhood of Brighton in Charlottetown, PEI
One of the most well-renowned neighborhoods in the Charlottetown area, Brighton is an excellent place to visit. The neighborhood consists of incredibly old housing and new developments within the 1970-1990 era. It is well known for its Old Victoria Homes and stunning streetscapes. Most of the houses and buildings in this area were designed by famous architects and extremely talented builders and are definitely a spectacle to behold. The people in this area are incredibly nice as well, with Brighton being ranked as the #2 best place to live in the PE area!
Brighton is also very well known for its stunning waterfront beach lighthouse. It is known to be one of the best places to watch the sunset with friends, family, and loved ones. If you’re into beautiful, breathtaking scenic views, this is the place to be. You can plan a romantic evening ending at the backside of the lighthouse for one of the best views you’ll ever see!
Brighton is also walking distance away from Queen Elizabeth Park, a massive park that is frequented by residents and tourists alike. The park is huge, with an entire soccer field and two baseball diamonds. It is also an excellent spot on a hot day to its immense water access.
Kids absolutely love the park. Children can play around in jungle gyms and the numerous swings across the playground. Basketball enthusiasts can also shoot some hoops on the full basketball court. If you’re a tennis player, you can compete on their world-class tennis court. The parking is never an issue due to their massive parking space. The only drawback is that there are no benches or picnic tables (aside from the area for seating) but with all the other amenities that it has to offer, it should definitely be on your list of places to visit.

If you leave Victoria Park Outdoor Pool & Splash Pad and head north on Queen Elizabeth Dr you'll reach the Brighton Beach located at 160 York Ln, Charlottetown, PE C1A 7W5.
Leaving Brighton Beach if you travel north on Queen Elizabeth Dr then turn right on Vicerow Ave you'll reach West Kent Elementary School located at 27 Viceroy Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1A 2E4.
From West Kent Elementary School go west on Viceroy Ave and heads towards N River Rd where you'll reach Queen Charlotte Intermediate School located at 150 N River Rd, Charlottetown, PE C1A 3L3.
