Located in
Central Queens County, Parkdale is a quaint suburban location in
Charlottetown, PEI. The Parkdale District is located
in the northeast
of Charlottetown and on
the other
side, Southeast
Sherwood is located which was changed from a farming community to the
city on November 6, 1958. In the year 1973, it was inaugurated as a
city and merged in 1995 with Charlottetown.

Parkdale area is
now a combination
of
the two areas that
are the residential and the
commercial, and it
comes under-12
hectares in Parkdale, by the former railway line (now the
Confederation Trail) to the southwest, Belvedere Avenue/ Falconwood
Drive in the
north, and the Hillsborough River.
Parkdale
had a local fire brigade, which was closed after the merger. There is
also Provincial Exhibition and Charlottetown Driving Park.
